    Basalite Lakeland in Brentwood, CA

    Available Colors

    Positano
    Torino
    Verona

Lakeland is a segmental retaining wall block with a tumbled, rounded face that reads as weathered fieldstone rather than sharp split concrete, and it carries the broadest color range of any Basalite wall system. The tumbled face and softened edges give an aged, worn appearance closer to hand-stacked river stone or old fieldstone walls than to a modern split-face block, which makes it the choice for traditional, rustic, and cottage-style landscapes rather than contemporary ones.

The six colors span an unusually wide range: cool blue-gray in Bluestone, warm terracotta in Desert, blended warm tones in Positano, soft sandy tan in Santa Fe, mid-gray in Torino, and golden tan in Verona. This range means a wall can be matched closely to existing stone, brick, or stucco already on a property, which matters more on retaining walls than on pavers because a wall usually sits against an existing structure.

Lakeland works in two distinct ways. As a retaining wall it holds back soil on a slope, creating usable level ground on a graded lot. As a freestanding unit it builds seat walls, planter surrounds, fire pit enclosures, and low garden walls finished on both faces. Applications are terraced slopes, raised planting beds, garden walls, seat walls, tree rings, fire pit surrounds, and grade transitions.

Six blended colorways are difficult to compare accurately on a screen — we encourage customers to see full-size units at the Brentwood yard. Wall height and reinforcement requirements depend on site conditions, and taller walls may require engineering. Contact the yard to discuss your project.
