Basalite Premier Slab 24x24 is a large-format square slab paver — and the 24x24 designation is the defining feature. Large units mean far fewer joint lines across an area than a standard brick-format paver, producing a calm, minimal, almost monolithic surface. The square proportion gives a more formal, grid-driven result than a rectangular plank format.
Layout options are flexible: laid square in a straight grid for a formal effect, rotated to a diagonal for movement, or spaced with wide open joints filled with turf, gravel, or ground cover to create a floating-slab walkway — a popular contemporary detail. The four colorways are marbled within each unit so an installation reads as quarried stone rather than poured concrete.
Applications include patios, terraces, pool decks, walkways, and courtyards in pedestrian and residential areas. Large-format slabs read very differently in person than at swatch scale, so a visit to the Brentwood yard to see full-size samples is strongly recommended.
